Talk:Release Schedule
Feature Checklist for 2.6.0
Who decides what should get on this list? If I take the article literally, I can just extend the list with all features I'd like to see in 2.6. Should I indeed add them, so that a discussion of these item can take place? Given that somewhere in this article a target release date of May 2012 was mentioned (and missed), is there even still time for new features? And are there programmers willing and capable to implement any additional features?
Bearing all the above in mind, I think what is missing in the list are a few improvements in usability, which probably won't be too much work, but would still be a blessing to many users. In particular I refer to:
- Improved Autocompletion for Account Names
- Copy budgets to following budgeting periods
- Faster startup by delaying report calculations
- 'Delete Budget' as a menu item
- Tree View
- To be continued...
So: Should I add them to the list in the article?
2.4.0 Release Date
The release schedule for 2.4 says the 2.4.0 release is scheduled for July 18th. It is now August 20th, and I was wondering if someone could update the schedule so we know when to expect the new version. Thanks! --Sayno2quat 14:43, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
- Will update this. --Cstim 08:33, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
Can we please have an update on the expected date of the next release. The release schedule states "some time in September" - it is now mid October. Thanks.
