To get a more recent GnuCash version for still supported SuSE releases, add the repository at http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home%3A/j-engel/<YourSuseRev> to your packet manager - usually Yast Software Repositories.

[open]SuSE 10.x

RPMs for Suse 10.0, 10.1 and openSUSE 10.2, 10.3 are available from Rauch Christian in his Repository for i586, i686 and x86_64.

These repositories can be added to your system using Smart(choose the right repository for your version!):

smart channel --add ftp://ftp.rauchs-home.de/suse/10.0/suser-crauch.repo
smart channel --add ftp://ftp.rauchs-home.de/suse/10.1/suser-crauch.repo
smart channel --add ftp://ftp.rauchs-home.de/suse/10.2/suser-crauch.repo
