07:24:05 <warlord> fell, it looks like it's only building stable... But it did build it this morning.

07:24:42 <warlord> ...
17:03:10 <fell> warlord, g075ab5690f is a month old. From https://code.gnucash.org/builds/flatpak/build-logs/stable/2026-10/build-stable-2026-10-01-01-00-02.log:
17:03:55 <fell> Update repository /home/builder/flatpak/src/gnucash.git
17:03:57 <fell> Already on 'stable'
17:03:58 <fell> Your branch is behind 'origin/stable' by 56 commits, and can be fast-forwarded.
17:04:00 <fell> (use "git pull" to update your local branch)
17:16:06 *** rocartur has quit IRC
19:10:53 <warlord> fell, I see that -- but... why isn't the build script updating it?
19:11:57 <fell> Perhaps it needs a --force once?
19:14:27 <jralls> fell, it shouldn't, it says it can be fast-forwarded.
19:21:09 <warlord> Right -- this should not require any manual updates on my part. If there were some error, then yeah, I would take a look -- and ask you guys how it got into that state. But this... this is something the build script should be doing! It should do a git pull (or git reset that's effectively a git pull)
19:21:38 <jralls> warlord, your cron job runs gnucash-on-flatpak/build_package.sh with no arguments, right?
19:23:10 <warlord> 0 1 * * * builder /home/builder/scripts/make-flatpak.sh

19:24:00 <warlord> rm -f $logfile
19:24:02 <warlord> done
19:24:16 <warlord> So it calls with -r branch
19:24:34 <warlord> (ignore the end with clam's stuff -- it exits before there)
19:51:03 <jralls> OK, I just tried a local build and got a similar result: The branch was 3 behind and it didn't update. I think the key is https://github.com/Gnucash/gnucash-on-flatpak/blob/eb9f3d4fca037a344076f6fb2adc924ad0539bf8/functions.sh#L139, `git reset --hard $repo_rev`.
19:54:10 <jralls> $repo_rev will be `stable` if that's what was passed in on the command line, and by itself that would normally refer to the local `stable` branch.
19:57:37 <jralls> Aha. It's my fault: I had changed it from "origin/$repo_rev" for debugging something and accidentally pushed it as part of updating Finance::Quote to 1.71.
20:05:30 <warlord> Aha!!
20:05:34 <warlord> That would do it!
20:12:39 <jralls> I've tested and pushed a reversal. Tomorrow's build should be OK.
20:13:20 <jralls> warlord, since we're on nightly builds, do you remember my email from last week about Windows future branch builds?
20:21:20 <warlord> The windows builds are controlled by the windows builder, not linux; you should have full access to that. The only issue is that right now /home on code has < 1.5G free.
20:26:22 <jralls> Guess you don't remember. The future branch nightlies are running on github actions. I've set up a netcat knocker so that code can retrieve them. I guess I could set up the Windows VM to do that retrieval and then rsync the file to code, but that seems a little clumsy.
20:27:27 <warlord> Oh, right.. That. Yeah, I forgot.. See, that's why I told you to remind me when I got back to town.
20:28:00 <warlord> I'm still a little jet-lagged -- I'll look at it tomorrow. I also need to clear out space, so I'll work on those together.
20:28:33 <jralls> OK.
