06:22:21 <bauen1> jralls: hmm, or maybe I will just make a transaction between the trading:EUR and trading:EUR:Stocks account I have, then I can balance the Trading:EUR:Stocks account with 0

09:35:02 <bauen1> jralls: okay, so I have a solution for my problem ... it is probably infinitely cursed, so for the capital gains transaction I now have the following:
09:37:13 <bauen1> Realized gains transaction
09:37:13 <bauen1> Aktiva:Stock buy=11,28
09:37:13 <bauen1> Trading:EUR:Stocks buy=17,28
09:37:13 <bauen1> Trading:EUR buy=6,00 (this "balances" the fees in the Trading:EUR:Stocks account)
09:37:16 <bauen1> Unaccounted Wins/Losses sell=11,28
09:37:19 <bauen1> Trading:Stock sell=11,28
09:37:48 <bauen1> Now, this is in my opinion ... cursed ... but it seems to work and leaves me with the fee splits and the actual gains split intact so I can verify / reconcile them against my statements
09:38:19 <bauen1> And reconciling the Trading:EUR:Stocks account with zero allows me to verify that I did not make a mistake when reconciling / entering the stock related transactions
09:39:09 <bauen1> now the price question, does this screw with any reports ... but I guess I will find that out eventually
09:41:30 <bauen1> actually, maybe that only works if the transaction was a loss overall ...

09:48:27 <bauen1> no, it actually works; at least for reconciling

15:59:44 <jralls> bauen1 are you managing your own trading accounts, meaning that you have Use Trading Accounts disabled in File:Properties?
16:02:33 <jralls> bauen1 that aside, what you wrote there doesn't balance in trading. You have 23,28 in DR (buy) and only 11,28 in CR (sell). To balance the Trading:EUR split needs to be in sell.

18:13:55 <bauen1> jralls: errr, yeah I think the "trading:EUR" was from sell, not buy
18:14:23 <bauen1> yep it was
