11:25:22 <jralls> warlord, yes and very nicely.
11:25:30 <warlord> Excellent!
12:32:26 <gjanssens> .
12:37:46 <gjanssens> jralls, warlord for what it's worth I also have a server running oVirt for my own VMs. It's set up on AlmaLinux 9, using oVirt 4.5. That combination no longer supports the spice protocol :(
12:38:32 <warlord> Of course not, because why keep a good thing working, right?
12:38:56 <gjanssens> I did some research about this a while back and it seems RedHat has dropped support for the QXL driver, which is needed for spice support.
12:39:18 <gjanssens> Yeah, I thought that was a bummer. I preferred the spice connections over vnc ones.
12:39:38 <gjanssens> What version of oVirt are you on and on what base system is it running ?
12:39:41 <warlord> Yeah, I feel Spice is more network efficient.
12:40:09 <warlord> CentOS Linux release 7.8.2003 (Core)
12:40:39 <gjanssens> Ok.
12:40:47 <warlord> 4.3.5
12:40:51 <warlord> (ovirt version)
12:40:55 <gjanssens> Got it
12:41:26 <gjanssens> Well, just stick to it as long as it makes sense :)
12:41:52 <warlord> if it aint broke....
12:42:22 <warlord> pretty much the only thing not working is windows-11. but... that requires a hardware update in addition to a s/w update
13:06:21 <jralls> I guess as long as the Win10 installation is minimally exposed to the outside world it's not too risky to run it past MS's end of support in October. Meanwhile I'm working on a rewrite of gnucash-on-windows to have our own pacman packages instead of using jhbuild.
13:07:54 <jralls> That should make it feasible to use github workflows for win32, I hope including taking over the nightly build work.
13:08:57 <warlord> It's not directly accessible from outside -- it's on a private network. It can NAT outbound, and has access to the Internet that way.. And of course there is the console access through oVirt.
13:12:26 <jralls> Yes, I know, and that's what I mean. The outbound NAT does create some exposure if one were to be careless using a browser.
13:14:16 <warlord> Right, but generally we shouldn't use using browsers on that platform.
13:17:01 <jralls> Generally no, but sometimes necessary to fix a build by visiting repo.msys.org to get a link to an archived package. I had to do that just now.

13:57:14 <gjanssens> jralls: great! having our own pacman packages was an idea I had been musing about as well. I'm curious to hear how that goes.
13:57:34 <gjanssens> And I like your changes to the GTK3 page. It's much more consistent now.
13:58:02 <jralls> Thanks.
