08:03:05 <warlord> Urgh. It helps if I chmod +x the make-flatpak script. Grr.
08:03:12 <warlord> But at least cron attempted to run it.

10:41:53 <kkk> hey, I'm using 4.13 on debian, and the behavior is somehow off between instances; When entering a new transaction in a register tab, having split the transaction, when tabbing to the split specific account selection, on some instances (Laptop A) it behaves like the dropdown only shows accounts which match the string input at any point, an in some instances (mainly on Desktop B), it doesn't
10:48:05 <warlord> The behavior changed from "beginning" to "substring" somewhere along the way. I don't know if both behaviors still exist with an option to select the behavior.
10:49:20 <kkk> ah, that explains it
10:52:15 <kkk> at least in 4.13 they both exist, as I've been using the same account chart for a quarter of a century and thus don't really ever need the substring feature, but I recently managed to get through to my wife and 1 kid and they started using gnucash as well. good to know the substring is the default as I'm guessing that's exactly what they want
10:56:41 <warlord> You get used to substring pretty quickly.. even after using "beginning" for a while.
11:27:45 <kkk> I guess so

13:17:52 <fell> kkk, bookworm-backports offers gnucash 5.6, which is only ~1 year old.

14:28:36 <warlord> fell, I copied the current flatpak-repo to the new rsync target location. I'll see what happens overnight when the script runs; does it delete all the old stuff from there? If so, I'll need to copy it the the new builder.. And then I'll swap links -- so probably by Sunday or Monday we'll be using the new flatpak builder.
14:28:45 <warlord> jralls, ^^
18:23:00 <jralls> warlord, yes, flatpak-builder 1.4.4 is the minimum needed for RT47: https://discourse.flathub.org/t/running-gnome-builder-generated-project-from-command-line/7740/2
18:26:09 <warlord> jralls, well, I installed Fedora 41 in a new VM and that's the version available..
18:26:23 <warlord> So clearly "minimum required" is "latest available". Ouch!
18:27:38 <jralls> Yeah, if it's true that's a bit rude of them, especially in a maintenance release.
18:29:23 <jralls> I just checked ovirt and the new VM doesn't show up. It'll make troubleshooting and fixing easier if Geert and I can get to it.
18:30:13 <jralls> And can't you start a test build by hand instead of waiting for cron? It's a slow process if you get only one try a day!
18:31:04 <warlord> Well, the latest issue WAS cron...
18:32:48 <jralls> Really? "Urgh. It helps if I chmod +x the make-flatpak script. Grr." seems like trying to run it by hand would have flagged it up pretty quickly. ;-)
