CMakeLists.txt has a warning about requiring gettext 0.20 or greater that gjanssens set in https://github.com/Gnucash/gnucash/commit/8243496ed0b3ea50d399422f0cc7ced713d2ea64. The commit message doesn't say anything about c++-format.

00:39:49 <jralls> fell, gettext's ChangeLog says that c++-format was introduced only a year ago, and https://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/gettext/ indicates that would correspond to 0.22. Seems our CMakeLists needs an update and I need to use a newer distro.

16:51:24 <jralls> fell, maybe you're overthinking the c++-format flag. It doesn't affect the message being extracted, it just adds an item under Flags in string information. It seems unlikely to me that it's even something that translators would care about.
