05:25:12 <chris> CDB-Man: wouldn't it be nice, in a STOCK register, the Transfer account doesn't shows, instead of "--Split Transaction--", the interpretation of the txn similar to ifrs report...

08:05:26 <njm> Hi all, coming to Gnucash from Books because of multi currency support. Is it possible to create
08:05:38 <njm> invoice in foreign currency?
08:06:42 <njm> I have multi currency accounts, and can transfer between them but having trouble with paying an invoice in foreign currency, it just shows local receivable account and not one with foreign currency

10:30:29 <chris> CDB-Man: hm can't be done because the STOCK->CAPG/DIVI/FEES account mapping is report-specific and isn't stored in the account metadata
10:35:32 <chris> jralls: I've had a segfault (rarely) when toggling the Edit>Preferences>Accounting Period from Relative to Absolute... in gdb it'd seem the gnc_plugin_page_account_tree_cmd_refresh's user_data doesn't always point to a valid page i.e. g_return_if_fail(GNC_IS_PLUGIN_PAGE_ACCOUNT_TREE(page)) fails

20:17:30 <Robert847> I seem to have forgotten how to find a pending edit that is blocking a file save in GnuCash. I thought that I could just click on the register tab then click on the Tab key. I thought that put the focus on the pending edit. However, right now I move to the suspect register then I can move the highlight to any transaction without triggering the pending edit warning. What am I doing wrong?
20:25:46 <jralls> Looking in the wrong register?
20:40:37 <Robert847> I might be if it is a register for an account that has children or a search results register but that is definitely not the case this time.
20:42:19 <Robert847> I also just checked the blank transaction. it isn't that eitherr
20:45:08 <Robert847> is there an alternate method to find a pending edit so I can check whether it was done by my cat?
20:51:37 <Robert847> Wow. I just tried looking at all the transactions that I remembered shuffling through an hour ago, and I finally hit one that triggered the pending edit warning when I tried to go to another one. How did I get out of that transaction earlier?
21:00:18 <Robert847> This is rrelease 4.8 If it is possible to escape from a transaction with a pending edit in the same register then I wish to elevate bug report 686051 to use whatever flag the file save procedure uses to remember that there is a pending edit to direct the user to it in the warning that pops up.
21:06:44 <Robert847> I did it
