Currently I have release 4.8 in Linux Lite 6.6 with a xfce desktop and release 4.8 in Lubuntu 22.04 with LXQt desktop. I am working on very similar data files on both machines in Virtualbox. Curiously, the instance in Lubuntu has a very hard time using the account search feature in the register account field. It seems to fail to find accounts that are not

Conversely, in Linux Lite GnuCash seems to be able to easily find accounts under any top account by using a few characters that appear together in an account name. Is this my imagination or is it possible that there is a real performance difference between various environments?

17:10:09 <jralls> Robert847 I'd guess that Qt is interfering with the GtkTreeView getting keyboard events somehow, but I don't know enough about how Gtk behaves in a Qt environment to be sure.

17:57:13 <Robert847> Simon: I looked at https://bugs.gnucash.org/show_bug.cgi?id=798695 and I doubt that the bug seen there is what I am observing, although I am not testing thoroughly. I did not see which versions of GnuCash have that bug, so I am not sure if 4.8 has it, or why it appears in one environment but not another. In any case, this is an old release so the first order of business would be to check whether this is still the case for the curren
