20:47:21 <NoobAlice> jralls: I have no idea. I think it's just KDE's start menu? Also, it is extra-tricky because KDE also has a phone interface called Plasma Mobile.
20:49:56 <jralls> I hope he isn't trying to use GnuCash on a touch interface. That's not likely to come out well.
20:52:36 <jralls> So if an appmenu is a start menu that's supposed to get injected onto the window's menu bar (as opposed to Gnome Shell and macOS which have a system menu bar that the app adds it's menu too) I wouldn't expect that to work on any app that doesn't use Qt for its GUI framework.
20:55:04 <NoobAlice> I am not sure I am interpreting correctly, but I think he is clicking on the equivalent of the Windows /Start button. Up comes the list of programs (spreadsheet, web browser, etc.) He expects to see GnuCash there but doesn't, because a .desktop file is missing or broken, meaning that his distro just needs to fix that or he can create a new file.
