02:44:51 <portot> I found a portable version of gnucash at portableapps.com. Printing of checks/reports fail with the portable 5.3 version but the gnucash.org 5.3 version works w/o issue. When attempting to print checks no error msg is displayed but reports display a dialog with "Error from StartDoc".

14:56:32 <portot> fell, thanks for pointing me to https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Tracefile. My printing issue was resolved this afternoon with an update to the portableapp.com version of gnucash. Anyone experiencing printing problems with the portableapps.com gnucash V5.3 should try V5.3 Rev 2.

15:14:11 <portot> When printing a check, the "Print Check" dialog populates line 1 of the address with the "Description" field of the transaction. Address lines 2-5 accept data which is displayed on the printed checks but the data does not appear to be stored or at least retrieved when trying to print the check a second time. Using QB2004 I previously used the address area to share information with the check's recipient which I could reference in

Turn that on, and 70,000 prices import nearly instantaneously. The question then becomes: how much of an issue are multiple prices on the same day??
