19:57:48 <jralls> fell, on the mac builds, yes. I had to hack jhbuild to not use it on Windows because it doesn't work well with the Windows file system.

20:27:22 <jralls> fell, no, but it was wrong before. We haven't used an unstable branch and aren't planning to, and "lower" and "higher" aren't really meaningful. The stable branch is the current stable release series, currently 5.x. future doesn't exist right now, but it will be created when needed to merge major feature branches--like a new XML->SQL backend or removing QofQuery--to assemble the next stable series, currently 6.x.

20:31:25 <jralls> That was the original idea 10 years ago, but we wound up never using it. Nobody has time to think about the *next* next series when we're trying to get the major release finished up.
