19:22:58 <chockey> I've been messing with multicolumn reports and found that the default style sheet really makes a mess of any sort of mutliple columnspan or rowspan layout. Switching to the CSS style sheet and adding "table { table-layout: fixed; }" really helped - am I just using multicolumn wrong, or is that something I should submit as an improvement somewhere?
20:00:04 <NoobAlice> chockey: Are you referring to the Reports > Multicolumn > Custom Multicolumn / Dashboard, or are you talking about Reports > Experimental > Balance Sheet / IRFS Cost Basis / Income Statement ?
20:37:58 <chockey> The first - Custom Multicolumb

20:40:06 <chockey> I also started with Dashboard once, and ran into the same issues. Essentially, I was assuming that making say, a 4 column multicolumn sheet, with one item taking up 1 column, and the next taking up 3 meant I'd get a 25/75 split in width, but that wasn't very consistent. I'm guessing it was because the HTML renderer was trying to stretch columns in a different way than I would think intuitively

21:14:33 <NoobAlice> Oh, interesting. I have no answers for you. :/ I always forget that, on the generated report, there is an "edit options" link for each component report, with more size adjustments, so that might help if you haven't tried it.
21:16:52 <chockey> I did mess with those a bit, but without fixing the HTML table size they're a little unpredictable :)
21:17:29 <chockey> Now I've just realized my income vs budgeted income line chart has the income going into the negatives..
