11:12:05 <Robert847> Hi. I have a question about what values appear in the running total column of 'with subaccounts' register views. I know that when any sort method other than the standard method is used, the numbers appear to be crazy, but I thought that the values adjacent to any given transaction remained the same as they are in the standard sort view. I have a case where the value displayed adjacent to the currently selected transaction change
11:12:05 <Robert847> everal thousand dollars when I select sortation by notes Should I worry?
11:14:02 <Robert847> Using release 4.8 in Ubuntu 22.04
11:22:17 <Robert847> I believe there is only one sub-account and it is the same type and currency as the parent account.

17:23:03 <jralls> chris, fell, are either of you able to open www.gnucash.org?
17:25:00 <fell> No
17:25:53 <fell> How is the weater in TX?
17:27:22 <jralls> Mostly cloudy with a 20% chance of rain. The deluge this week is here in California.
17:28:05 <jralls> I can ping www, so Apache must be borked.
17:29:38 <fell> Would a git push have an effect?
17:33:15 <jralls> I just did one, to beta, having merged master onto it. I'd managed to get through to linas the other day and he said he'd fixed the out-of-sync repo from gjanssens's force-push attempt last summer.
17:34:53 <jralls> I know it was working yesterday because I checked after I pushed the 4.900 announcement.
17:39:16 <Simon> $ curl https://www.gnucash.org
17:39:18 <Simon> <!DOCTYPE html>
17:55:49 <fell> jralls, can someone of us restart apache?
18:15:01 <jralls> fell, not sure. Simon, that's interesting, I get "curl: (7) Failed to connect to www.gnucash.org port 443 after 4845 ms: Network is unreachable", but "PING www.gnucash.org (67.198.37.17): 56 data bytes\n64 bytes from 67.198.37.17: icmp_seq=0 ttl=44 time=60.054 ms"
18:16:28 <jralls> fell but if any of us can it's gjanssens and warlord who have accounts on www. I just sent linas a public key and my IP to get one after he offered, waiting for the next step.
18:17:41 <fell> Same curl result here.
18:24:38 <jralls> Same as mine or as Simon's?
18:25:51 <fell> as yours
18:45:08 <jralls> chris, re https://code.gnucash.org/logs/2022/12/24.html#T19:42:44 Do you remember what report and option crashed?
18:46:46 <jralls> Simon, can you still get a response from curl https://www.gnucash.org? If so what happens when you try to connect with a browser?
19:12:38 <jralls> fell, new subject. I'm reviewing https://github.com/Gnucash/gnucash-docs/pull/294 that has some cross-references. So I looked at what's in gnucash-docs/C/guide now and I see "&url-docs;C/gnucash-manual", "&url-docs-C;help", and "&url-docs;C/gnucsah-help" while in the manual it's always "&url-docs-C;guide". Shouldn't all of the ones in the guide be "&url-docs-C;manual"?
19:19:00 <fell> Using url-docs-C would improve maintainability.
19:20:40 <fell> One Note:I want to ask the author to mark the first para in the main section as
.
19:24:07 <jralls> Right, but "&url-docs-C;help", "&url-docs-C;gnucash-help", "&url-docs-C;gnucash-manual" or "&url-docs-C;manual". Actually I know that the first two are wrong, they just got missed when converting help->manual.
19:24:46 <jralls> And for the para, do you mean the one in the guide that starts "The Investment Lots report shows details"?
19:32:21 <jralls> Time to go, we can take it up Thursday.
19:32:28 *** jralls is now known as jralls_afk
19:57:07 <fell> Right, the target is to eradicate help in favour of manual.
20:28:43 <chris> jralls: report doesn't crash; but there's PWARN when report-options dialog closes. cannot remember which report.
