01:44:48 <chris> CDB-Man: I can support that the one-line fix will remove the warning, however I cannot confirm that it's a perfect fix
01:45:27 <chris> if not all levels are selected (eg select L1 L3 L5 parents), I have no idea what piechart should show
01:45:40 <chris> also if some levels have balances
01:45:49 <chris> also if some levels have negative balances
01:46:14 <chris> also if tree-depth > 6 and the innermost child only has balance
01:46:24 <chris> and any combination of above
01:46:58 <chris> This is why I always have the hygiene of: accounts with children are almost always placeholder
01:47:22 <chris> (except with accounts such as Expenses:Medical and I can get Expenses:Medical:Rebates)

14:49:42 <digimago> Hi all, I've been running into an issue today with v4.12 after not having imported MT940 for a while. The 'Importing SWIFT tags ...' dialog pops up and reports "SWIFT: Missing customer reference" without any specific field ID or transaction. How can I get more details on the 'why' of this message as it does not provide, for instance, a line number for the file that is being imported.

15:08:44 <digimago> I can repeat this with an earlier import that now also fails. Both files contain a transaction (or multiples) of type NDIV (non-swift, dividends payment). Is there a known issue with these?

15:31:38 <warlord> digimago, what OS/Distro?
16:15:07 <digimago> warlord, sorry...Win10 19045.2251 on gnucash build 4.12+(2022-09-24)
16:18:13 <warlord> Can you downgrade to an earlier version and verify that you DO NOT get the error?
16:20:29 <digimago> downgrading to 3.11 atm to check
16:21:18 <digimago> 3.11 does not throw this error with the file that triggers this in 4.12
16:21:55 <digimago> I'll try with a more recent 4.x build as well
16:24:05 <digimago> 4.10-1 is also free of any issues
16:25:15 <warlord> i meant an earlier 4.x
16:25:31 <warlord> Okay, so 4.10 is okay, and 4.12 isn't. What about 4.11?
16:25:59 <digimago> 4.11-1 also is free of issues
16:26:03 <digimago> just completed test
16:26:13 <warlord> So it's between 4.11 and 4.12 -- that helps narrow it down.
16:26:26 <digimago> could it be related to the fix for 798578 as that explicitly lists a fix for MT940 imports?
16:26:31 <warlord> I recommend you file a bugzilla report and provide as much data as you can.
16:26:40 <warlord> It could be.
16:26:48 <warlord> But I haven't followed the changes so...
16:27:12 <digimago> I'll anonymize the MT940 that breaks stuff for me and test if it reproduces the error; if so I will submit it alongside the bugzilla report
16:27:15 <digimago> thanks
16:27:56 <digimago> I'll run 4.11-1 for my daily stuff until we get this sorted
16:59:43 <warlord> Thank yo
16:59:45 <warlord> you
