08:45:02 <gjanssens> chris: my main objection to disabling scrolling in code is that this makes your application behave differently from the default Gtk behaviour and hence make gnucash different from all others in a Gtk (Gnome) environment.

Aside from the continuous drain of banks stopping support for it entirely many are using more complicated two-step sign up methods that AQBanking can't emulate. The first one we noticed doing that was USAA, the saga begins at https://lists.gnucash.org/pipermail/gnucash-devel/2021-January/045664.html.
