10:57:33 <gjanssens> warlord, are you available to chat about an ovirt upgrade issue ?
10:57:33 <gncbot> gjanssens: Sent 2 weeks, 5 days, 3 hours, and 48 minutes ago: <fell> Are you not affected by bug 797675 ^? It seems Benelux banks are dropping MT94X in favour of CAMT.053.
10:57:34 <gncbot> gjanssens: Sent 2 weeks, 4 days, 1 hour, and 5 minutes ago: <fell> After 'ninja de-gnucash-help-check' I removed one of the superflous images. Now although changing branchs I get always ninja: error: '/home/frank/git/gnucash-docs/manual/de/figures/main-window-in.png', needed by 'manual/de/ghelp_figtrigger', missing and no known rule to make it .
10:57:35 <gncbot> gjanssens: Sent 2 weeks, 4 days, 1 hour, and 1 minute ago: <fell> Forget my last note. Te branches had not been different enough to trigger 'Re-running CMake'.
10:59:50 <gjanssens> fell: wrt to MT94x vs CAMT.053, no. I have never imported bank statements in gnucash so I haven't come across this. The other accounting tool I have had to migrate to a while back for our business purposes (odoo) imports using coda.

11:00:32 <gjanssens> You can always manually rerun cmake directly in your build directory via "cmake ."

17:26:15 <jeles> I updated today from 3.x to 4.11 and should have kept a copy of my program folder because now my business invoices duplicate my business name, address, email, phone #, & website. How do I fix this invoice template problem?
17:30:18 <jralls> jeles Are the values duplicated in the business tab of Edit>Properties or only when you run an invoice?
17:31:33 <jeles> The values are duplicated only on the invoice as if the template is calling the same fields in two different locations.
17:32:42 <jralls> OK. then it probably is. What stylesheet are you using?
17:34:07 <jeles> A custom one that I had set up using the Fancy under the previous version. Now I cannot even figure out how I set that up, as if some configuration options have disappeared.
17:35:43 <jralls> Did you look at it in Edit>Stylesheets?
17:38:13 <jeles> Yes, but that only allows changes to colors, fonts, my logo, and some table properties. It doesn't seem to have any other formatting.
17:39:56 <jralls> Those are the things that are set as options in the stylesheet. Any other changes would be in the stylesheet code, made with a text editor, ideally one that understands Lisp-ish languages.
17:40:34 <jralls> Or rather one that understands how to format Lisp-ish languages.
17:42:21 <jeles> Maybe I should start over and edit the default invoice by adding my logo. I don't know if I may have altered the original invoice file several years ago, but is it possible to reset the invoice template to start over?

17:43:56 <jralls> Are you using a custom invoice report too?
17:45:10 <jeles> Maybe? I cannot find any reference to my custom report name in the gnucash folders, so I am not sure, but it is in the custom reports list.
17:48:00 <jralls> Custom reports list? Do you mean Reports>Saved Report Configurations?
17:48:49 <jeles> Yes that is the term that I mean.
17:50:32 <jralls> OK, then you're probably using the default Invoice report that you've customized to point to your stylesheet. Run Reports>Business>Fancy Invoice and see how that looks.
17:53:12 <jeles> Okay. I did that and it comes up with the duplicate information again. One set of fields is left aligned directly under the invoice number and the second set is right aligned across from the customer name and address fields.
17:54:38 <jeles> Not sure if there is a way to show a picture on here, let me know how if it would help.
17:55:48 <jralls> You can put pictures someplace like imgur and then link them here. But no need, I just ran a test invoice and I see the same thing.
17:56:40 <jeles> Oh! So I am not alone. That makes me feel a little better.
17:58:02 <jralls> And I see why. In options on the Layout tab Company name, address and tax-ID is set for both Row 1 Left and Row 2 Right. Just set whichever one you don't want to Empty Space and click Apply.
17:58:27 <jralls> That'll probably work with your saved config and custom stylesheet too.

18:07:57 <jeles> That did it. Thanks a ton! I have one more question that has been bugging me lately (unrelated to the update). In my custom stylesheet I have selected Times New Roman fonts, but when I use my stylesheet for a new invoice it seems to pull the default fonts without really applying my chosen stylesheet. It worked at first, and even does sporadically now. What might I be missing?
18:09:12 <jralls> My first thought would be that it can't find the font so it's falling back on the default.
18:10:23 <jralls> Though I guess the first thing to make sure of is that it's actually using your stylesheet. That's on the General page in report options.
18:11:19 *** raeburn has quit IRC
18:12:20 <jeles> I was just thinking that, but then when I go to edit the stylesheet every field calls out Times New Roman and even appears in that font on the edit page. Not sure where it is programmed to look for fonts when rendering. (Yes, I did confirm the stylesheet is called out, and even tried switching back and forth to no avail.)
18:24:49 <jralls> I just tested changing a couple of fonts in the stylesheet. Some fonts work, others not so much. For the fancy invoice the ones that seem to matter most are Number cell, Text cell, Total label cell, and Total number cell.
18:28:24 <jralls> Note that in the layout tab of report options you can also fiddle with the CSS to override the stylesheet for individual classes. The reports are HTML so you can export them and either look at them in a text editor or open them in a regular browser and use the browser's tools to find out the class and cell names to use in your CSS.
18:34:46 <jeles> Sorry I see CSS as something new even though it may be old tech for all I know. The CSS edit field on the report doesn't seem to call out any fonts directly. For now maybe I have to leave the fonts in a different style.
18:36:48 <jralls> It doesn't change any font family stuff, but it is what sets the company names to be much larger than the addresses. I pointed it out only so that you can use it for customizing your invoice further if you're so inclined.
18:38:04 <jralls> CSS itself has been around for 25 years or so, but it wasn't exposed in the GnuCash UI until 4.x.
18:39:45 <jeles> Okay. Thanks for all your help today!
18:40:23 <jralls> You're welcome.
