05:17:39 <mauritslamers> hey all, I normally use gnucash under macOS, but wanted to use it under Linux this time (Ubuntu Budgie to be exact). Sadly the experience was not that good.
05:18:17 <mauritslamers> Specific issue is that when trying to fill in an invoice, the input fields are not on top of the display field.
05:20:35 <mauritslamers> The text field is always offset to the right, I would guess between 50 and 100 pixels.
05:22:01 <mauritslamers> Gnucash version is the sickly PPA v4.2
05:33:31 <mauritslamers> compiling 4.11 now to see whether that makes a difference.
05:39:28 *** Aussie_matt has quit IRC
05:42:22 <mauritslamers> and both the latest #maint as well as #4.11 fails the build with an error in share/glib-2.0/schemas/org.gnucash.dialogs.business.gschema.xml: "Error line 3: schema id org.gnucash.dialogs.business already specified. --strict was specified; exiting"
05:49:17 <mauritslamers> the flatpak version of 4.11 doesn't show the issue.

12:08:27 <fell> mauritslamers, there have been changes in the dconf path and your error shows the old version. Please search the wiki or mailing lists for the fix.

14:31:48 <jralls> chris, I'm working on the leftovers from c++options. One of the bigger ones is the callbacks for complex-boolean and multichoice-callback.
14:34:57 <jralls> chris, both take two callbacks, setter-function-called-cb and option-widget-changed-cb. Nearly all of the actual uses set #f for the former. The exception is a batch of complex-booleans in trep-engine.scm beginning at line 938, where the arg is a let variable. Is that a mistake?

19:47:04 <chris> jralls: the callbacks are useful -- they allow the trep options to set/unset other options' sensitivities - eg if Sorting/PrimaryKey is NONE then it's useful to disable PrimaryKey display options
19:50:10 <chris> Is your question about the "let" construct? can't see anything in #L938
