17:10:02 <Robert847> Hi, I am trying to understand how Linux behaves when it runs low on memory and needs to try to swap. My Gnucash version 3.8 data file appears to use 97.7 GIB of VSZ (whatever that is) in a virtualbox instance of Linux Lite which has 7240 MB physical RAM assigned. It does not have a swap partition configured, i think it has a Logical Volume on the VDI hard drive. In that environment, after several hours runtime Gnucash gets very
17:10:03 <Robert847> to respond to certain actions. I have noticed that in this environment I cannot abandon an uncommitted edit by using the mouse to move the focus out of the transaction. Gnucash simply commits the edit while waiting for the OS to catch up, so the transaction does not revert to it's pre-edited state and GnuCash does not ask me if I really wanted to abandon the edit. Is this expected behavior?
