17:20:12 <jralls> chris, depends on what's in it and how it got there. If it's GValueBoxed then the GValue will call g_object_unref on it in the GValue's dispose function. If the boxed item is a well-formed GObject subclass then that's enough. If it's not (and a lot of GnuCash classes aren't) then the safest thing to do is to call g_value_take_boxed to get a ptr to the boxed object and call its destructor function if it has one, otherwise free it as usual.
