11:43:35 <NoobAlice> chris: My user's opinion: Leave it on the side. While you gain space by putting it horizontal, longer legends quickly become hard to read when they're horizontal. Two or three colors horizontal might work, but once you have a lot more it's worse to scan through quickly.
