Because some of my accounts are in a different currency I used: `(xaccAccountGetBalanceAsOfDateInCurrency account date currency #t)` which kindly converts everything into the same unit.

12:46:20 <Hrisfur> I assume that the currency conversion is obtained from the GNUCash price database, but what is the date of the exchange rate used. The same as the 'date' provided to the function? But if for that date now exchange rate is known, what does it take then?

15:37:30 <jralls> Hrisfur, xaccAccountGetBalanceAsOfDateInCurrency() uses the most recent price, not the nearest in time. If you want nearest in time you'll need to get the balance in the account's currency and call gnc:exchange-by-pricedb-nearest (see https://github.com/Gnucash/gnucash/blob/maint/gnucash/report/commodity-utilities.scm#L721) on the result.

Should I just cast my eye over against this liability account and "manually" note any entries that increase its balance?
