I have found a possible typo that I'd like to fix in the "Accounting Concepts" section. Currently it reads "As another example, you could have an increase in assets if you have a parallel *increase* in liabilities." Where *increase* should read decrease right? 09:28:23 <warlord> spearthistle, the documentation is correct. Take for example a home mortgage. You increase your liabilities (taking out a mortgage) when you buy your house (increasing your assets)

09:36:43 <spearthistle> warlord, yes, I'm reading the documentation the wrong way. thanks for explaining that. my mind has been trained according to the basic credit/debit account, whereas GnuCash uses multiple accounts like Liability and Assets etcetera.

09:53:08 <spearthistle> great, I'll have a search for them. my father still uses Microsoft Money and didn't like the feel of GnuCash. he's dyslexic so doesn't like reading documentation but is good with arranging objects in 3d space. i'm determined to learn GnuCash to show my father how it works and to finally get on top of my finances.

14:32:05 <laron> Displaying the account number would be a great update! With a large account tree, it is sometimes difficult to navigate because some sub accounts have the same final name
