13:12:08 <Kissaki> Mid of this year my bank started rejecting HBCI connections saying the client is not registered as a HBCI client. FinTS/HBCI requires clients to be registered as such, at no cost as far as I could see. The AqBanking lib GnuCash uses for HBCI/FinTS integration documents that not the library has to be registed but the user-facing client, so that would be GnuCash. The use of a registered client ID for authentication is a Protocol REQUIREMENT. It has been announced

13:15:13 <jralls> Kissaki: This has been discussed at excrutiating length on the gnucash-de mailing list. Short summary: You need the latest maint nightly build for windows or flatpak. MacOS users and Linux/BSD users who can't use flatpak are out of luck until at best the next release; maybe longer if AQBanking and its dependencies with the necessary changes remain in beta.

General setup seems to work fine. Just not pulling transaction data or current account standing.
