05:40:48 <chris> Ctrl-F: Find Transaction, "Balanced": Disabled -> will never find any transaction. IMHO this criteria is obsolete.
05:43:44 <chris> it doesn't search for Imbalance-CUR splits.

06:00:14 <chris> mauritslamers: I think I solved the height:100% scrollbar issue: html,body{height:100%; margin:0}, and remove empty <h3></h3> for charts
06:00:34 <mauritslamers> ah good
06:00:47 <mauritslamers> sounds like the proper way to do it

09:10:29 <gjanssens> warlord: invoice-print pagination is a webkit1 issue. Webkit2 doesn't have it
09:11:15 <warlord> gjanssens, ok
09:12:26 <gjanssens> chris: so if I get this correctly with your height and margin setting you long require the 95% rule ?
09:12:42 <gjanssens> eh ... you no longer require...
09:17:10 <chris> correct, removing <h3></h3> in charts means the <canvas> can use up 100% of <html><body> as it wishes
09:17:31 <chris> that's why stylesheets-plain.scm needed fix.
09:17:48 <chris> incidentally applying other stylesheets makes for amusingly small charts
09:19:52 <chris> pagination: invoice's main-table is not using 100% page-width. bug 797401 has better suggested fix.
09:20:32 <chris> 2nd pagination issue: multi-page invoices *may* cut across html-table-cells and do not repeat <th> row. I'm not sure the status of this.
09:22:32 *** jervin has joined #gnucash
09:23:45 <chris> ^ ok the status is windows' pdf export causes table-cells to be cut across for pages; whereas ubuntu doesn't. exporting to firefox enables <th> row repeating in every page

09:35:39 <gjanssens> warlord: it's an issue on Windows *and* Macos

13:07:37 <jralls> warlord: WebKitGtk removed all of their Windows support code in WebKitGtk2. Windows will never run it.
13:09:21 <warlord> BLAH
13:11:24 <jralls> It gets worse: Alex has stopped updating it on MinGW so we have to load it from the repo archive and freeze ICU and Boost to avoid dll hell.
13:12:18 <jralls> Or switch to building it with jhbuild.
13:14:15 <warlord> How hard is it to build with jhbuild?

13:18:41 <jralls> Once it's patched as necessary it's not hard, it just takes forever--as in ~2 hours on my 8-Xeon-3MHz MacPro. It can be fragile, though, in the face of changes to Gtk and Glib. I suspect something broke last Spring and Alex decided there wasn't enough demand to justify his fixing it.

16:39:12 <jralls> warlord, perhaps you misunderstand. Alex is the MinGW64 packager, maintaining more or less singlehandedly something like 2500 packages with fairly frequent updates. The last WebKitGtk that can build on Windows was 2.4.11, released in March 2016. The WebKitGtk that Linux packagers are building is 2.26.2, released last week. *That* has naturally kept up with Gtk development.
