13:35:15 <jralls> gjanssens: I noticed something interesting when checking packages on Ubuntu this morning: They're not updating gcc. They had gcc-5 in 18.04 but 18.10 and 19.04 have only 4.8. 19.10 will have 4.9. They're keeping Clang up to date.

13:46:48 <jralls> Fedora has gcc7 as of 26, it's in the current Debian Stable and OpenSuse tumbleweed as of June 2017. So if we drop Ubuntu 16.04LTS in favor of 18.04LTS then we can take master to C++17. ;-)
