15:43:57 <jralls> chris: The split assistant lets you put in a new price if you want, but there are a lot of different reasons to use it, not all of which will have caused a price change.
15:47:03 <jralls> chris: As for reffing and unreffing the prices it's only unnecessary if the Scheme wrapper is copying the price object into Scheme-controlled memory. If it's holding a C pointer then the ref count is used to decide when to free the C-object that it's pointing at.
