Like if you have a Checking account and a Savings account at the same institution and they both have the same account number....you can't tell which one is which in the Match screen.

12:49:27 <metafarion> Can you do that? when I look in OFX DirectConnect User Setup, you can Retrieve Account List, but it doesn't ask you which ones to add. In fact, for me it seems to overwrite accounts I already have configured that have the same account number.

17:47:20 <jralls> metafarion: You're looking at it backwards. GnuCash can only associate one account with an online account number. The matcher is for matching the *other* account, usually the income or expense account, based on the description.
17:49:06 <jralls> metafarion: I think the only way you can work around your bank is to create a container account with both your checking and savings as sub accounts and associate that with the online account number. Do the import and then reassign the splits to the checking or savings subaccounts afterwards.
