04:49:18 <taram> When I import a csv and the date col in the combobox does not match with the shown in the cells then gnuchash crashes. Example Date-Format-Combobox: YYYY-MM-DD and in the csv is DD-MM-YYYY and then import (hit ok), then the crash comes up...
04:49:35 <taram> I don't know how to report the bug...

09:08:09 <warlord> gjanssens, for some reason, useradd is failing on code. Not sure why, nor how to debug as there does not appear to be any error output indicating the issue.

09:26:46 <warlord> gjanssens, I've added bobit. Wish I had that new user script still -- it sent mail to them and everything. It was really nice. Alas, I'll have to spin up old-code to search for it.

14:35:38 <jralls> Mechtilde: That sounds like either a password vault problem or GnuCash isn't connecting to your vault.
14:38:02 <Mechtilde> is it a must to have a vault?
15:16:00 <jralls> Mechtilde: GnuCash won't save passwords itself, that's a huge security bust. gjanssens set it up some time ago to store the passwords in the operating system's password vault (Gnome Keyring on Linux). If that's not working then you have to type in the password every time.
15:17:35 <Mechtilde> then I have an idea why I get the dialog for the keyring
15:17:48 <Mechtilde> I tried to remove it
15:22:14 <jralls> Umm, you get the dialog for the keyring to retrieve your password when you try to connect to the database. I don't think gjanssens made that optional.
15:23:17 <jralls> Generally keyring wants you to authenticate at least once per login session, separately from actually logging in.
15:23:51 <Mechtilde> I never used the gnome keyring before
15:24:08 <Mechtilde> i don't use Gnome
15:24:32 <jralls> If you use GnuCash you use Gnome, like it or not.
15:24:49 <Mechtilde> so I was surprised to see the diealog
15:24:50 <jralls> You just don't use Gnome Desktop.
15:25:04 <Mechtilde> I use XFCE4
15:26:10 <Mechtilde> I understand that GnuCash is the first app for which I have to use the gnome keyring
15:26:35 <Mechtilde> I will try it again WITH the keyring

15:43:13 <warlord> Mechtilde, I use XFCE4 for my desktop, too... But still use Gnome Keyring.
15:43:37 <Mechtilde> I test to use it
15:44:33 <Mechtilde> I have the problem that it don't save the acount in the transaction form

16:01:42 <finster> Hello. So, I just spotted Gnucash can use Postgresql as a database backend. Does that indicate multiple gnucash instances can be used simultaneously to access one book?
