14:25:59 <Ravior> I've seen a small issue and I'm not exactly sure of a way to reproduce it.
14:26:29 <Ravior> It seems that fractions for a fund larger than 1/10000 is not working.
14:27:07 <Ravior> I had a fund at 1/10000 and after inserting a few entries, I modified the fund to 1/1000000
14:28:06 <Ravior> however, the existing fields that contained the already inserted values always round up to 1/10000 (even if the fund is now at 1/1000000)
14:28:25 <Ravior> can someone check if they see this as well? (I'm using 3.3 on Windows)

14:34:55 <Ravior> I fudged it. I had the account fraction override the commodity value.

15:52:42 <pread> Hi everyone, I am new to GnuCash (and to managing finances in general). I know it can be a very powerful tool so I want to start to use it to track everything. Since I have a long history of finances so far, it feels like a massive task to import/enter the data into gnucash not to mention reconciliation of all accounts. I am kind of confused what I should do at this point, can anyone help?
15:53:06 <pread> Did you guys just start with going back one year for instance?
15:54:30 <pread> Thanks in advance
15:55:10 <sixwheeledbeast> Just start with your opening balances at the beginning of the next tax year?
15:56:38 <fell> There is no general answer.
15:57:34 <pread> ok never mind, I dunno what kind of answer i was looking for -_-
15:57:35 <pread> sorry
15:58:00 <fell> Some people run the current year parallel in their old app and gnucash to compare everything.
15:58:53 <pread> I don't use an app at the moment, when I said a long history of finances, I meant it in a general way
15:58:54 <fell> Some import all their old data, some only their commodit history, ...
15:58:55 <sixwheeledbeast> That would also make sense, so you can get used to GnuCash.
15:59:03 <pread> I don't track my finances at all
15:59:31 <sixwheeledbeast> So this is personal then?
15:59:34 <pread> yes
15:59:35 <fell> you read the tutorial?
16:01:15 <fell> http://www.gnucash.org/viewdoc.phtml?rev=3&lang=C&doc=guide
16:03:22 <pread> thanks... I will try to read it first
