13:47:19 <Leto2> that is where I am having problems. I don't know what type of account to use. All other accounting programs I have used had specific types for income and expense.
13:49:32 <jralls> So does GnuCash. One generally creates an Income and an Expense top-level account and then creates a hierarchy of accounts beneath it.
13:50:26 <jralls> Why don't you try out the new file assistant and select "common accounts" (which should be the sole default setting) to get an idea of how to lay out your chart of accounts?
