08:07:20 <gjanssens> @tell jralls It looks like I was wrong about guile 2.2 and swig
08:07:20 <gncbot> gjanssens: The operation succeeded.
08:08:01 *** meb has quit IRC
08:08:58 <gjanssens> @tell jralls After I received my round tuit I couldn't resist digging a bit deeper and it seems only gnucash needs updating. After a couple of attempts I got it working. Just need to do some more testing before I push.
08:08:58 <gncbot> gjanssens: The operation succeeded.
08:45:14 <gjanssens> @tell jralls Hmm need to go back to the drawing board. I'll need to improve my understanding of catching exceptions in guile... What I have so far only works in some situations

14:28:09 <gnomey> is it normal for scheduled transactions to take ~30+ min to populate a monthly transaction spanning 5 years?
14:28:09 <gncbot> gnomey: Sent 37 weeks, 6 days, and 6 hours ago: <warlord> Yes, GnuCash is only a single-user application. You can have multiple sequential users, but not multiple simultaneous users. And even when it does have multiple simultaneous users, it still wont be the right solution for an accountant to run a server that enables clients to login and add transactions.
14:28:10 <gncbot> gnomey: Sent 37 weeks, 6 days, and 6 hours ago: <warlord> Also, it's generally better if you stick around more than 13 minutes to wait for an answer... Especially at 5:37am!!
14:30:52 <gnomey> wow.. it's finally done
14:31:46 <gnomey> gncbot, warlord: can you please alse tell me what I asked ~37+ weeks ago that i just got the answer to :)
14:31:46 <gncbot> gnomey: Error: "warlord:" is not a valid command.

21:46:40 <crossan007> Has there been any talk around a web-based implementation of GNUcash?
21:50:48 <chris__> crossan007: plenty. not gonna happen anytime in next 2-3 years due to numerous internal overdue work.
21:51:55 <crossan007> chris__: thanks. I've been using GNUCash since ~2009 for my personal finances, and am looking for something to use for my nonprofit organization. I'm a project lead for open-source web-based ChurchCRM, and I'm thinking about "borrowing" gnucash schema.
22:06:23 <chris__> good luck. read/write of schema can be done via API calls but this is not exposed to HTTP.
22:08:40 <crossan007> thanks. I'm probably not going to use the existing GNU cash codebase - just the SQL schema definitions, as the project is PHP / JavaScript
