12:08:37 <jralls> aperali: No, sorry. GnuCash is an accounting program. It doesn't do financial modeling.
12:17:13 <jralls> aperali: After you left yesterday gjanssens reminded me that you can install ODBC drivers for whichever SQL backend you use (i.e. SQLite3, MySQL, or Postresql) and then connect to the database with Microsoft Access. IIRC Excel can also use ODBC, but I don't remember if it's able to do inserts or updates.
12:23:23 <aperali> great! you mean i can use sqlite3 to edit the currency table and insert historical quotations? where the currency data is stored?
12:25:09 <jralls> aperali: In the price table. You'll find the SQL schema at http://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/SQL.
12:47:08 <aperali> thank you again

16:31:22 <jralls> aperali: You don't. Each entity gets its own file and Chart of Accounts.
16:32:06 <jralls> aparali: Have you studied the Tutorial and Concept Guide?
