02:55:39 <bruceh> I was using my own compiled versions of gnucash on Ubuntu 14.04. I've upgraded to Ubuntu 16.04 and wanted to switch to the dist version. I did a make uninstall and a make clean on my build directory and cleaned out any leftover binaries and symlinks on the system. I ran apt autoremove to remove any leftover libraries. I've installed the distro version of gnucash, but it segfaults almost immediately when coming up. I would just build m

04:31:36 <gjanssens> bruceh:your message ended with "I would just build m"
04:53:55 <bruceh> guess there was a limit on the message size. It should have ended "I would just build my own version again, but the instructions on the website are out of date and probably don't have all the proper dependencies."

08:48:40 <bruceh> @gjanssens: I built 2.6.11 under Ubuntu 14.04. For 16.04, Ubuntu comes with 2.6.12. I've just successfully built 2.6.15 and it runs, so it looks like I'm back in business.

09:18:46 <lmat> kinlo: This was mentioned in the last two months on the mailing list.
09:19:01 <lmat> kinlo: Dealing with bitcoin is not new for you :-) but I don't remember what the solution was.
09:19:24 <lmat> kinlo: Also, concerning which currencies are available in gnucash (this is on the mailing list), if I remember correctly, there is some standard that lists currencies, and that's what we use.
09:21:22 <warlord> kinlo: we recommend you track miliBitcoin (mBTC) -- GnuCash can't handle 8 decimal place accuracy.
09:21:40 <kinlo> lmat: yeah, I know, the official standardized list... I'll look at the mailinglist
09:22:10 <kinlo> warlord: good to know. so it does not store everything in decimals?
09:22:12 <warlord> fell: yes, the italian guide translation is literally an xml2po translation.
09:22:25 <warlord> fell: I haven't looked at Syntax Highlight. I can do so soon.
09:24:04 <fell> warlord: nice.
09:24:06 <warlord> kinlo: no, gnucash stores everything as a rational number x/y
09:30:11 <warlord> fell: Huh -- it's already installed. I guess it's not enabled by default. Let me fix that.
09:32:04 <warlord> fell: should be enabled now.
09:34:06 <fell> It works: http://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/FixFitid.pl

18:12:14 <avionii> hello... i can't seem to get my business logo to appear on printable invoices. any tips? thanks
18:15:09 <fell> avionii: did you adjust the stylesheets and using the adjusted in the report options?
18:15:54 <avionii> I created a new style sheet and added the link for my logo
18:16:33 <fell> Huh, a new one?
18:16:51 <avionii> It says "Select HTML Style sheet" and I choose "New"
18:17:18 <avionii> Under images option, I choose the logo to use.
18:17:23 <avionii> I didn't edit report options though...
18:18:23 <avionii> Where do I choose report options?
18:21:05 <avionii> Ahh I'm learning now
18:21:07 <fell> In the tool bar

18:44:02 <avionii> Net Price, Tax, Total, Amount Due - all highlighted in bright yellow. HOw can I remove the yellow?
18:49:55 <avionii> Got the logo size changed
18:50:12 <avionii> How can I change the yellow cell color?
18:51:13 <fell> Edit->Styesheet->your_new_stylesheet
18:51:54 <fell> and the refresh the report
18:59:22 <avionii> I changed the subheading / total cell colors but it didn't change when I reprinted the report
19:07:28 <fell> BTW, did you RTFM? http://code.gnucash.org/docs/C/gnucash-help/report-config.html

21:20:19 <avionii> report config doesn't deal with the column colors
21:22:21 <avionii> Apparently the "Grand Total" color configures the color for all rows of Net Price, Tax, Total Price, & Amount Due
