07:54:34 <ThomasKeller> hello, I am just curious:
07:54:45 <ThomasKeller> why does standard (non-dev) gnucash installation install header files in /usr/include/gnucash/ ?

09:40:14 <warlord> ThomasKeller: define "standard"? ./configure -- by itself -- would put them into /usr/local/include
09:40:45 <warlord> karelk: it's not AqBanking they need to support -- it's HBCI (or SIPE). I know most banks in Germany do. Beyond that, I don't know -- I don't live in Europe. Sorry.

10:58:36 <ThomasKeller> warlord: I meant, why does standard installation (debian package) install header files at all
10:59:01 <warlord> ThomasKeller: You'll have to ask Debian. On Fedora it's in the gnucash-devel package
10:59:21 <ThomasKeller> ok, so it is not standard to include header files
10:59:43 <ThomasKeller> that would satisfy me as an answer
10:59:45 <warlord> You'd have to ask debian what their standard policy is.
10:59:56 <ThomasKeller> thanks
10:59:59 <warlord> The packaging isn't done by us.
11:00:28 <ThomasKeller> I know, obviously
11:00:52 <ThomasKeller> I just thought there are some reasons from upstream, why debian is doing it
11:01:39 <warlord> Actually, I take that back -- there is no gnucash-devel package on fedora, but the main package doesn't install headers

12:48:11 <dxd1> Hi, can someone please help me? How can I set up my trading account if my stocks are traded on NASDAQ, so the currency is USD, but my main account is HUF. If I set up the hierarchy the following way: Main (HUF) -> USD -> Stock (USD) then the HUF amount equals to the USD amount. What am I doing wrong?
12:57:45 <Mechtilde> do you read the Tutorial
12:57:57 <Mechtilde> chapter about multiple currencies
13:05:52 <dxd1> I'm sorry I didn't know there's an entire chapter on this topic. I will read it now. Thanks!

13:20:21 <Mechtilde> the tutorial should cover all topics
13:37:53 <warlord> Mechtilde: the other thing to have mentioned is that there needs to be a USD->HUF currency exchange rate in the PriceDB

14:03:22 <reactormonk> In the transaction report, I've got multiple bookings on the same date - they're ordered the wrong way around, according to the balance column.
14:03:51 <jralls> warlord: I got your credentials email, but I have to go to an appointment now. I'll try to log in when I get back in a couple of hours.
14:09:06 <warlord> jralls: no worries.
14:10:00 <warlord> reactormonk: the 'balance' is based on the natural ordering of the transactions, which might not be the same order specified in the transaction report.

15:07:44 <warlord> reactormonk: you mean like LC_TIME?
15:07:53 <warlord> (I'm not sure exactly what you're asking)
15:08:38 <reactormonk> Probably, thanks.

17:24:29 <jralls> warlord: I'm in on ovirt.ihtfp.org. Chrome bitches because the certificate is signed with sha1.
17:33:23 <jralls> warlord: I've gotten the remote viewer installed and it presents a dialog "Authentication is required for the SPICE connection:" with a disabled Username field and a usable Password field. It doesn't accept the password I set up for the ovirt console.

18:45:48 <warlord> jralls: you need to login to ovirt, then click on the "open console" of the VM. It will download a file that should kick off the remote-viewer app.
18:46:28 <warlord> (sorry, I need to run out for a bit and will be both AFK and AFP, so completely incommunicado until I get home)
18:54:17 <jralls> warlord: Thats what I did.
18:55:08 <jralls> warlord: Except that being on a mac the d/l doesn't start the remote viewer. I have to do that manually.

22:43:49 <warlord> jralls: Hmm. The password in the console.vv file should be valid for 2 minutes. On linux you can run it as remote-viewer /tmp/console.vv ... I don't know the Mac equivalent. Is there any way to tie the file to the app?
22:49:05 <warlord> Your other option would be to install the CA cert and then you should be able to change the console method to spice-html5 which runs in the browser. Although I've had better luck with the remote-viewer app, modulo a timeout issue after about 15-30 minutes of inactivity.
22:49:13 <warlord> anyways, going AFK again.
