09:19:15 <warlord> gjanssens: any idea what wiki problems goodvibes was having about 8 hours ago?
09:33:47 <mrklintscher> Hi warlord
09:34:04 <mrklintscher> i try to send HKTAN back to bank
09:34:38 <mrklintscher> and cannot figure out the correct construction
09:37:43 <gjanssens> warlord: I don't know for sure
09:38:00 <warlord> Hmm. I'm not sure how the PIN/TAN support works. Sorry.
09:38:15 <mrklintscher> ok
09:38:16 <gjanssens> I know I had enormeous lag this morning as well, but that's gone again
09:38:31 <gjanssens> Opening a wiki page would take up to 2 minutes
09:38:43 <gjanssens> It's back to a few seconds now
09:41:11 <gjanssens> jralls: when you tested gcc 5.3.0 did you also bump mingwrt to 3.22.4 ?
09:41:35 <gjanssens> According to this thread https://sourceforge.net/p/mingw/mailman/mingw-users/thread/58072AC1.1070201%40users.sourceforge.net/#msg35436784
09:42:04 <gjanssens> Keith Marshal added a couple of fixes that are required to get c++11 funtioning properly
09:42:49 <gjanssens> It's not really clear to me whether the stoi and tostring issues were fixed as part of this.
09:45:59 <warlord> gjanssens: I suspect it's due to my nightly backup regimen.. And the fact the VM server has been up for ~90 days. It seems to get slower and slower.
09:46:06 <warlord> More reason to migrate to the new VM solution.
09:47:03 <gjanssens> jralls: I also see the cmake build uses -std=gnu++11 while the automake build uses -std=c++11
09:48:00 *** gour_ has joined #gnucash
09:48:20 <gjanssens> I'm mentioning it because Keith points out this results in different availability of standard functions in mingw so perhaps that may also has a part in the windows build issues
09:48:37 <gjanssens> *have a part*
09:48:49 <gjanssens> warlord: yes
09:49:04 <gjanssens> How are you proceeding with the new server ?
09:50:13 *** gour has quit IRC
09:51:55 <warlord> gjanssens: slowly. It's up and running. I moved a few non-essential (read: easily recreated) VMs over there.
09:52:02 <warlord> Still need to set up backups.. and then add users...
09:52:08 <warlord> and then work on migrating the important VMs
09:56:19 <warlord> Oh, and still set up a proxy for remote-viewer console access
09:58:31 <gjanssens> Ok
09:59:17 <warlord> So... slowly working on it. Oh, and I still need to acquire a win10 installer / license

11:13:24 <warlord> gjanssens: Also, FYI, my plan is to create new VMs and not just migrate the existing VM over to the new server. This would, in effect, update the OS at the same time. Right now code is running FC20 -- I plan to build a new VM with FC25 (which is coming out in a week). It'll take longer, but will allow a fresh start, which will also allow me to improve the backup situation.

13:46:39 <jralls> warlord: Since the it sounds like you've got a couple of weeks to go on the new VM server, maybe you should reboot the old one when you have time.
13:47:26 <warlord> jralls: Yeah, I'm thinking about that.. Maybe tonight during the election returns? ;)
13:49:29 <jralls> gjanssens: re: gnu+11, good catch. IIRC the difference is that gnu+11 pulls in a few C++14 things a little early. Probably doesn't matter right now since GCC and Clang both know what to do, but I'll make it c++11 in CMake so it's consistent.

14:31:22 <sp4rc> Hi, I got two different bank accounts, from which i have downloaded the transactions in mt940 format
14:31:41 <sp4rc> but gnu cash always wants to book that transactions on the same gnucash accounts
14:31:46 <sp4rc> how can i seperate them?
14:32:43 <sp4rc> running version 2.6.14 on windows 10 btw
14:33:31 <sp4rc> according to the documentation i should get asked on which account i would like to book (http://www.gnucash.org/docs/v2.4/de_DE/gnucash-guide/basics-import1.html - chapter 2.7.3 point 2.)
14:36:23 <jralls> sp4rc: You get asked that only once, the first time you import a file with a particular account id (the bank's account id). Check the mt-940 file headers to make sure that the two files have different ones. If they do you likely gave the wrong answer the first time you imported one of them. I don't know of a way to reset that from the GUI.
14:37:24 <warlord> sp4rc: are you sure the bank isnt reporting the same account for both?
14:37:24 <Mechtilde> sp4rc, and use the actual documentation http://www.gnucash.org/docs/v2.6/de/gnucash-guide/chapter_basics.html

14:45:56 <sp4rc> i cant find the IBAN account number
14:46:00 <sp4rc> warlord: which field within the MT940 file reports the account id/number?
14:46:41 <warlord> Sorry, I have no idea.
14:47:13 <sp4rc> found it... tag 25
14:50:01 *** Mechtilde has quit IRC
14:50:11 <sp4rc> well they are similar... account a) 8xxxxx.AA account b) 8xxxxx.BB
14:50:22 <sp4rc> the only differ in the two digits behind the dot
14:50:42 <sp4rc> but i entered the IBAN in the account details
14:52:25 <warlord> Hmm.. GnuCash SHOULD ask you... and each gnucash account should only be able to hold one account.
14:52:35 <warlord> Unless the mt940 importer uses filename and not accountID?
14:54:20 <sp4rc> i have now deleted my first gnucash account and now i get asked again, but this only happes once
14:55:48 <sp4rc> maybe i dont understand how gnucash works
14:56:33 <sp4rc> if i got two different "real" bank accounts, should i import the transactions that where done there only within one "gnucash account"???
14:56:39 <sp4rc> i guess thats not the idea
14:57:10 <warlord> No, your AA account should go into Assets:Bank:AA and your BB account should go into Assets:Bank:BB
14:57:48 <warlord> Are these two different mt940 files?
14:58:02 <sp4rc> yes these are two different mt940 files
14:58:04 <sp4rc> i found the bug
14:58:34 <warlord> Oh?
14:59:05 <sp4rc> gnucash is not able to difference between account numbers that contain numbers after a "." sign
14:59:43 <sp4rc> so let's say MT940 file a) has this line :25:888123.00
15:00:02 <sp4rc> and MT940 file b) has this line :25::25:888123.50 gnucash will handle them as one account
15:00:09 <sp4rc> but this are two accounts
15:00:28 <sp4rc> ah typo... drop ":25:"
15:00:49 <warlord> So, try removing the period
15:09:35 <sp4rc> now the whole import dialoge isnt showing up anymore
15:09:53 <sp4rc> okay... uninstall... sorry and thanks a lot for your help
15:10:29 <warlord> Eh? You remove the period and nothing works??
15:10:46 <sp4rc> i had my mt files on a onedrive folder
15:11:01 <warlord> Copy them local?
15:11:11 <sp4rc> this let to the situation that after choosing the file the whole import dialoge was not showing up anymore
15:11:15 <sp4rc> then i moved the file locally
15:11:38 <sp4rc> now the import dialoge isnt showing up anymore even after selecting the local files
15:11:52 <sp4rc> restarted the app to now avail
15:12:33 <warlord> Load a backup file from before the import?
15:13:16 <sp4rc> nevermind it was a whole new xml file

15:43:41 <fell> But AFAIK Martin solved the problem, but
15:44:32 <fell> 1. I believe, our windows build ist behind his release.
15:45:21 <fell> 2. I believe, our MTXXX importer is different.
15:53:10 <fell> The ComDirekt bank uses account numbers of the form <clientID>.<accountType><index> or similar

15:54:32 <fell> Other banks use similar structures, but without the stupid dot.
15:58:43 <fell> The other problem: the importer assigns the location of the import file on the first run and the gui has no option to remove this association.
