So really the only outages I have are when my ISP falls down (which, unfortunately, happens more often than I'd like) Only thing I don't have, yet, is multiple ISP uplinks.

17:02:57 <lmat> gour: I use archlinux, and recommend it, although it doesn't meet your requirement of "only few newer pkgs". It basically keeps all packages as up-to-date as can be.
