00:32:07 <rigid1> i have trouble using aqbanking-cli with the ING Diba. I'm using version 5.6.10
00:32:59 <rigid1> i go according to the docs but when I do "aqhbci-tool4 getsysid", i get "3:2016/06/03 06-27-10:gwen(32761):syncio_tls.c: 1305: gnutls_record_recv: -110 (The TLS connection was non-properly terminated.)"
00:33:37 <rigid1> enforcing sslv3 seems to have no effect, it's still using TLS. (Could SSLv3 support be missing in my gnutls?)
00:33:48 <rigid1> any hints appreciated :)

07:18:35 <chris> Running 2.6.12 on Mac OS X 10.10.5 gives me: “GNUCash.app” is damaged and can’t be opened. What is going on here?
07:46:57 *** mlncn has joined #gnucash
08:03:52 <rigid1> chris: maybe it's damaged? :)
08:04:05 <rigid1> or is it a fresh install?
08:06:35 <chris> Yes, it a fresh install. This is first time I tried GNUCash.
08:08:07 <rigid1> ok, that sounds like an error. better wait for some apple-gnucashier

13:46:52 <jralls> rigid1: Aqbanking is a separate project, hosted at www.aquamaniac.de. Your best bet would be their mailing list.
13:50:46 <rigid1> jralls: thank you. i saw that but I hoped I could avoid the mailinglist-hassle by finding someone with working config-files here
13:50:47 <jralls> chris: What's going on is that apparently the encrypted signature hash no longer matches the binary. Make sure you got Gnucash-Intel-2.6.12-2.dmg, ideally directly from http://downloads.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/gnucash/Gnucash-Intel-2.6.12-2.dmg. I see that I failed to update Github, give me a couple of minutes...
13:51:06 <rigid1> there should be some diba + hbci + gnucash users, i suppose
13:52:55 <jralls> rigid1: There are a couple of HCBI users around, though I don't see them here ATM. In general though GnuCash users don't use aqbanking-cli, they use the GnucCash GUI.
13:53:17 <rigid1> actually, i'm surprised that there's no decent collection of config-example-for-banking-company besides some old wiki
13:54:05 <rigid1> jralls: doesn't gnucash use ~/.aqbanking/ stuff like aqbanking-cli? iirc it shouldn't make much difference
13:54:39 <rigid1> i already thought of installing gnucash to create a working config for it might have some wizardish auto-detection magic that aqbanking-cli doesn't have
13:55:58 <rigid1> but best would really be a diba user with working .aqbanking/ config who could share an anonymized settings/users/uid*.conf
13:57:42 <rigid1> the mailinglist is closed :( i can't even search for others having the same issue...
13:57:59 <rigid1> ...without signing up. this is so 2000 8-)
13:58:45 <jralls> rigid1: GnuCash uses the AQBanking library and the Gwenhywfar-provided GTK2 GUI. I don't know how well those map to AQBanking-CLI. There *is* auto-configuration for OFX, what we use in the US, but I don't think a similar database exists for HBCI... if there is no one has mentioned it to me. You might try the gnucash-de@gnucash.org mailing list, there's a much higher concentration of HBCI users there.
13:59:33 <rigid1> jralls: ah, good to know. i'll do that. thank you.
14:00:56 <jralls> chris: The links are updated on Github too, https://github.com/Gnucash/gnucash/releases/download/2.6.12/Gnucash-Intel-2.6.12-2.dmg

16:00:53 <CDB-Man> hmm, seems that foreign currency reporting will be very difficult
16:01:18 <CDB-Man> if my reporting currency is CAD, and I want to record USD income and assets
16:02:02 <CDB-Man> if I accrue USD income into USD accounts, the I/S and B/S only do an FX as of the date of report, ie year end FX
16:02:42 <CDB-Man> looks like I would need to record USD earnings into a CAD income account, and setup the FX on each individual transaction, if I want this to work correctly
16:04:25 <CDB-Man> looks like this cannot be automated either... the fx grabber only seems to grab today's rate

16:46:50 <lmat> Do you care if my pull request is only one commit or several?
16:49:29 <lmat> jralls: ^
16:50:56 <jralls> lmat: Depends on how big it is and how important the history is. If it's more than one it should compile at every one or have a notice that it doesn't in the commit message to make bisecting work.
16:52:15 <lmat> jralls: right.
16:52:33 <jralls> If your feature branch is messy with a bunch of fix-mistakes commits, do a rebase -i and squash the fix-mistakes commits into the commits that they fix.
16:52:41 <lmat> jralls: I'm talking about the qof session work. It's pretty significant work, but the commit history doesn't really make sense anymore.
16:53:54 <lmat> jralls: For instance, at first, I was thinking that I would remove all the internal access that the C tests had, so I disabled them, and would rewrite them later with more appropriate interfacing into qof session.
16:54:22 <lmat> jralls: Then, I decided that we could leave the inappropriate access there limited to the C tests. This makes a mess of the commit history.
16:54:36 <lmat> jralls: Anyway, I'll go over it and see if I can make an history that makes sense.
16:55:24 <jralls> lmat: Thanks. It makes it a lot easier to review, and to figure out what happened a year from now when we're getting ready to start beta releases.
16:59:52 <lmat> aye.
