04:26:16 <mib_g44tue> i did cc the bug.
04:26:49 <mib_g44tue> i guess 2.6.10 is newer than 2.6.7?
04:26:58 <Mechtilde> yes
04:27:31 <mib_g44tue> can somebody look into the bug? https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=583501
04:28:10 <mib_g44tue> import is ignoring :NS: lines 01 to 14 as well as line 17....
04:31:37 <Mechtilde> does it still happens?
04:34:29 <mib_g44tue> yes, at least on windows.
04:34:47 <mib_g44tue> btw: german version, if this matters.
04:35:41 <Mechtilde> did you post it to aqbanking-user@lists.aqbanking.de
04:36:24 <mib_g44tue> no, i was looking up the bugzilla, i did not want to double the already existing bug report. should i?

05:45:50 <TomCat> I'm liking GnuCash a lot - I wish I found it several Quicken / Quickbooks / Sage Peachtree purchases ago!

05:50:28 <TomCat> One thing I can't seem to find as a feature.. Say I import an OFX from my checking account, and then later from my credit card account, or vice-versa.. Each of the two accounts will have their own description for the transaction, but it seems that in the register screen for both accounts, I will see the same description - whichever one was first in. Is there any setting that allows me to
05:50:28 <TomCat> have individually managed descriptions for each side of the transaction keeping them on 1 line (not a fan of the expand to show splits idea)
05:53:12 *** rpg has quit IRC
05:56:34 <TomCat> right now it seems that the transaction description/memo/etc. from the OFX is lost completely from one side since there's only one place that the information goes for either side

07:57:29 * Simon accidentally created a security with traded fraction of 1/9999 (1/10000 minus 1...) instead of 1/1000, and this is persisting in the transaction amounts despite fixing it and then changing the amount :/

16:06:06 <David417> Hi I have been doing some cleanup of old transactions with GnuCash version 2.6.10 for Windows and I have noticed that the running balances seem to be wrong for some transactions if the transaction date is changed. The value for that transaction seems to be stuck at a previous value.
16:07:52 <David417> I do not recall seeing any such problem in previous versions. If I recall, there was one a few days ago that was finally corrected when GnuCash was closed and re-started.
16:09:38 <David417> Actually, after re-checking, I have 2.6.6 on this machine
16:10:21 <David417> maybe this is an old problem that no longer exists.
16:14:31 <David417> It is more convenient for this type of activity to use this particular machine, so I will stay on it far a while.

21:21:03 <David417> I have a different question now. QIF imports are incredibly slow on my old machine with release 2.6.6 in windows with an Intel Pentium G630 2.7GHz CPU and 6 Gig RAM. I think that is partly because some of the code is in Scheme and it may be single threading much more than it really needs to. Would it be possible and practical to speed it up?
21:32:55 <David417> If it is a Scheme issue and it could be re-written to run faster, I might take on the challenge to learn how to do that.
