09:14:56 <zefrankt> Hi. I'm experiencing a weird problem with Gnucash and cannot find a bug report or any info, maybe someone can help. When I save a multicolumn custom report, it works fine for a while, but at some points, one of the sub-report seems to get swapped for another random report. I end up having to redo my reports quite often...

10:30:10 <codesmythe> Well, my first CMake PRO should be available this week. I have a couple of questions.
10:30:22 <codesmythe> PR that is
10:30:42 <codesmythe> 1. What is the older Linux distribution I need to support for development?
10:31:17 <codesmythe> 2. The various Makefile.am files to not have license boilerplate. Do my CMakeLists.txt files need license boilerplate?

11:25:29 <jralls> codesmythe: Excellent! Don't worry about minimum distro. The C++11 requirement breaks everything earlier than F20 and Debian Jessie anyway. The GPL statement is up to you, but is generally not put in build files.
11:29:02 <jralls> It's debatable that build files are copyrightable anyway. They're more like phone books (a famous US Supreme Court decision) than creative works.
11:39:02 <codesmythe> jralls: thanks for the info.

13:20:42 <Hinnerk> Hi
13:20:57 <Hinnerk> I have an accounting question.
13:21:15 <Hinnerk> I have some unit linked life insurance contracts
13:21:24 <Hinnerk> Now I switched the underlying funds.
13:21:30 <Hinnerk> This generates revenue.
13:21:57 <Hinnerk> However, in reality, I have not made any revenue, the MV of the contract does ot change.
13:22:12 <Hinnerk> How should I book this, so that is does not have any income effects?
13:22:35 <Hinnerk> The underlying funds have online price retrieval switched on.
13:23:07 <Hinnerk> Any ideas?

16:35:23 <cmug> Any recommendation how to split my "checking account" and my assets? I'd like to see a more realistic view of cash available vs. all my assets that I can't access so easily
16:35:59 <cmug> none of the reports seem to give me a realistic view of cash available
