15:02:18 <ednorog> hello, i have a problem with setting dates in gnucash. when I try to input a new transaction, I cannot change the date; it used to set the current date before, not it started picking some date in 1898 by default. Can someone help me with this?
15:20:34 <jralls> ednorog: Sounds like it's getting a negative time from the OS. What OS/distro and what version of GnuCash? Are you able to change the date by typing in a new one or using the calendar widget?

15:36:56 <ednorog> i have no idea. couple of weeks ago, i was using it normally, then i started not being able to change dates (only able to select current date)

I created a new account called 'Import' and now I'm trying to mark the transfers but I feel like this is not the correct way. Any tips? I can't seem to find anything regarding importing csv from the english manual..

15:46:49 <jralls> cmug: Yeah, start over. Import in small chunks and use the import assistant to assign accounts. That way it can learn the transactions and start assigning them automatically.
