08:09:26 <b3niup> jralls: apparently my issue is not related to any version difference in packages during built - I've just built gnucash 2.6.7 with bitcoin patch at work without any problem
08:10:07 <b3niup> jralls: and i've got there same OS with same package versions as I have at home
08:12:21 <b3niup> oh, regarding gc invoicing - i'm replacing default taxinvoice report with my custom one, I guess I'm doing it wrong then :D
08:12:30 *** ErKa has quit IRC
08:15:50 <warlord> b3niup: No need to "replace", just create your own (with a new name and new GUID) and it will load alongside it (and wont get overwritten on upgrades)
08:17:05 <b3niup> warlord: I did that before and I had some issues with this, I don't remember what those issues were though
08:17:21 <b3niup> But i'll try again then :)
08:17:26 <warlord> Me, either, but if you had issues most likely your report was wrong ;)
08:17:46 <warlord> (although I do admit I'm not sure how a custom e-guile report would work -- I dont know where it would look for its template)
08:19:19 <b3niup> afaik it was something small annoying thing, like not being able to set custom template as default or something like that
08:23:35 <warlord> Could be...
08:23:53 <warlord> I'm not sure where it looks by default.

09:40:45 <MechtiIde> I try to translate chapter 13 Accounts Payable. Can someone confirm that assets is wrong there? there must be liability?
09:41:23 <MechtiIde> as in the Account Hierarchy
09:52:23 <warlord> MechtiIde: can you be more specific about "confirm that assets is wrong there"?
09:52:40 <MechtiIde> which info do you need
09:52:49 <MechtiIde> it is in the guide
09:53:42 <warlord> Maybe a URL to the page/section/image you're looking at?
09:54:50 <MechtiIde> http://gnucash.org/viewdoc.phtml?rev=trunk&lang=C&doc=guide
09:55:10 <MechtiIde> chapter 13.2.1
09:55:36 <MechtiIde> it is the text there
09:57:14 <warlord> I still don't see what exactly you're looking at that you think is wrong?
09:57:58 <MechtiIde> the last two paragraphs before 13.2.2
09:58:21 <warlord> I see nothing wrong.
09:59:26 <MechtiIde> so you means Assets for Accounts Payable is right as in Accounts Receivable too?
09:59:52 <MechtiIde> I think one must be Assets one Liability
10:03:28 <warlord> Nope, the english is correct
10:03:58 <warlord> MechtiIde: you "need to add additional asset accounts and real expense accounts to make the hierarchy useful." --- This is absolutely correct.
10:04:48 <MechtiIde> and which additional acount do you need in that hierarchy
10:05:33 <warlord> your actual bank account..
10:06:06 <warlord> and the actual correct expense accounts for the payables
10:06:15 <warlord> e.g. Expenses:Parts
10:06:53 <MechtiIde> for the liabilities
10:13:38 <warlord> The only liability account required is the A/Payable account (and it's parent, the top-level account "Liabilities"
10:13:52 <warlord> Like I said, the English text is 100% correct.
10:19:22 <MechtiIde> thaks for clearing it
10:19:52 <MechtiIde> So I hope I understand know better the text

14:45:09 <Lunario> how can i make gnucash show my monthly expenses/incomes in a separate tab/line/window?

15:34:39 <Lunario> jralls: as a ledger
15:35:14 <warlord> Lunario: View ->Filter By --- and select the date range you want to see.
15:36:06 <jralls> I think he wants several accounts in one ledger, so he want Edit>Find rather than Filter By.
15:36:22 <jralls> s/want/wants/
15:37:35 <Lunario> basically i want to see my account data (expenses in a certain category) being "reset" every month, but without having the previous data deleted (but rather listed somewhere else)
15:37:59 <warlord> Lunario: what do you mean "reset"?
15:38:23 <warlord> You want to see each account balance reset to 0 on the 1st of every month?
15:38:29 <Lunario> e.g. all expenses for groceries set to 0 on the 1st of every month. but of course the money on my bank account shouldnt be rest
15:38:33 <Lunario> *reset
15:38:44 <warlord> Right.... I'm not sure *why* you want to do that..
15:38:49 <warlord> But Tools -> Close Books
15:52:42 <warlord> gotta run. ttyl

15:58:49 <Lunario> warlord: thanks for your help
16:02:07 <Lunario> btw is it possible to replay multiple log files at once, without having to select each one individually?
16:02:28 <Lunario> because i have about 150 logfiles and its very tedious to replay each of them
16:04:06 <Lunario> nvm
16:04:13 <jralls> Lunario: No. Replay them one-at-a-time and only if you absolutely must.
16:04:48 <Lunario> i just noticed i can just open the latest .gnucash file (hadnt seem them in the log folder before)
16:04:51 <Lunario> that restores all transactions
16:05:57 <jralls> Yes, it's always better to use the backup files.
