09:08:41 <David417> Hello. I just noticed that in release 2.6.5 at the bottom of credit card type pages the present, future, cleared and reconciled values make sense, but the projected minimum seems reversed because it is the largest amount owed instead of the smallest amount. Has this changed from previous releases?
09:09:38 *** Jimraehl1 has left #gnucash
09:14:17 <David417> I have the credit accounts reversed in this file so the numbers owed are positive.
09:14:23 *** Jimraehl1 has joined #gnucash
09:16:27 <David417> perhaps that setting does not work on credit card summary amounts?
09:17:57 <David417> that seems odd to me
09:26:41 <David417> I just tried all three settings and I would disagree with the results in each case. I woud interpret minimum as being closest to zero, rather than most negative.

14:59:17 *** storri has joined #gnucash
15:00:52 <storri> I am having trouble with reconciling an account. I see the date, num and description fields. I don't see any value or column to check reconcile each item. (Distro: Linux Mint 17.1, GnuCash version: 2.6.1)
15:01:25 <storri> Was there a problem with this release or is the default setup not enabling an configuration option?
15:08:28 <storri> The problem seems to be the column widths. Overall The five columns allow the user to adjust the size of the columns. That is fine but if you resize "Description" too large you cannot see "Amount" or "R".
15:09:57 <storri> Those columns are hidden but the scroll bar at the bottom indicates something more is off to the right.
15:11:00 <storri> I think the column window for "Date - Num - Description - Amount - R' should not be horizontally scrollable.

15:38:15 <sfalanga> My credit union recently "upgraded" their system. I was connecting fine using aqbanking and aqofxconnect. Now I get: HTTP-Status: 403 (Forbidden)Error on gnutls_bye: -53 (Error in the push function.)
15:38:18 <sfalanga> Any ideas?
15:39:45 <sfalanga> GnuCash 2.6.1 from Ubuntu v14.04LTS packages
15:50:39 <jralls> storri: Yes, that's a fixed bug. Please upgrade to 2.6.5.
15:52:15 <jralls> sfalanga: Check that the bank hasn't changed the URL, maybe just to https from http.
16:07:09 <storri> jralls: Thanks. I will see what I can do through the distro packages before building it. For now I can work around it.

16:32:28 *** fell has quit IRC
16:34:54 <jralls> sfalanga: The query for accounts isn't well supported. The gnutls_bye error appears to be an expected result of some implementations of TLS shutting down the connection without first closing the TLS session, and is probably not a concern.
16:36:02 <jralls> sfalanga: So you're back to dealing with a 403 on the website. What "upgrades" did the CU do?

16:58:04 <jralls> nrdk: No need to paste the menu, I know what that looks like.
16:58:59 <jralls> nrdk: The problem is that you didn't run jhuild bootstrap.
16:58:59 <jralls> nrdk: That installs a bunch of tools that Apple either doesn't provide or provides versions that are too old.
16:59:06 <nrdk> jralls: I did when I ran through the initial GTK setup, that was the last step I followed was to run the bootstrap
17:00:13 <jralls> nrdk: Then you've set the prefix differently. Look for where bootstrap installed autoreconf and then why the new build isn't finding it.
17:01:44 <nrdk> jralls: It's in /Users/username/gtk/inst/bin
17:07:00 <nrdk> so its a bit unclear, do i only need to go through the Boost steps if i'm building an unstable version?

17:11:19 <jralls> nrdk: You shouldn't need to build anything except libdbi-drivers.
17:12:15 <jralls> nrdk: IIRC it has no dependencies.
17:12:54 <jralls> nrdk: Except libdbi and the appropriate client library, I think you said mysql in your case.
17:13:49 <nrdk> jralls: Correct. Maybe that's adding a layer of complexity to this as I'm trying to use an openSUSE server mysql installation as the central db for gnucash, so I can access from multiple client through ssh (1 at a time of course)
17:14:55 <jralls> nrdk: No, the server is totally separate. You need the mysql client library on your mac for libdbd-mysql to link to.
17:15:28 <jralls> nrdk: And probably the headers as well.
17:30:12 *** keret has quit IRC
17:34:41 <nrdk> jralls: Alright, so stupid question but I'm not looking for the full MySQL Server, correct? Found some references that the client library and dev headers should be on opensource.apple.com but can't find em, and all I can find from the mysql site is the full community installer

18:09:07 <jralls> nrdk: OK. So install the whole thing. You won't be able to connect without the client, and if that's the only way to get it, that's what you have to do.
18:11:30 <jralls> nrdk: BTW, unless you're already skilled at MySQL admin, be advised that it isn't trivial to learn. Have you considered just putting the regular gnucash file on a shared folder somewhere?
18:14:53 <nrdk> jralls: Yea, I do regular work on mysql with a focus on php development on a daily basis, been years since I ran through a setup, and always on suse
