The background is that SourceForge has chosen GnuCash as the "Community Project of the Month" and they sent us a questionnaire to answer for their press release. Yawar took a first pass at filling it out and included the statement that "GnuCash is also the official accounting software of the GNU Project".

17:08:44 <jralls> There are also some history questions that you're the best source for, like "What was the first big thing that happened for your project?", "What helped make that happen?", and "What was the net result for that event?"
