14:18:46 <smw> hi all. I am just restarting to try and use gnucash. How can I add stocks? Right now I have a brokerage account (labeled as a bank). It has a subaccount "CMG" with security type CMG. My problem right now is backdating my purchase.

16:59:22 <smw> warlord: Why would you laugh at a windows user? I am on linux mint (gnucash 2.6.1). As for unrealized gains being negative: currency goes in, stock comes out. Stock is worth more than currency when prices change in your favor and you have unrealized gain. Therefore, your Trading account has a negative balance for unrealized gain

17:02:06 <smw> warlord: it would be nice if you could somehow reverse it. Treat debit as an increase (sort of like a liability)
