13:14:33 <Singlestone> Is anyone here to give a little help with account setup?
13:18:00 <Singlestone> In particular, I can't find a way to get mutual fund shares to display 3 decimal places.
13:19:06 <Singlestone> The options say to display 3 decimal places.
13:20:12 <Singlestone> The fund says to use 1/1000000 as the smallest fraction.
13:21:01 <Singlestone> But Gnucash refuses to process thousandths of shares.
13:21:12 <Singlestone> It truncates them to hundredths, which throws the figures off.
13:21:54 <Singlestone> It's enormously frustrating, because the help pages show smaller fractions being used without needing to change anything.
13:33:10 <Singlestone> Okay. This is pointless. Gnucash is fail. I'm gonna tell everybody that.
13:33:17 <Singlestone> Best of luck. Quicken, here I come.
13:33:19 <Singlestone> *wave*

16:04:33 <emarwil> I recently upgraded to gnucash 2.6.3 on Fedora 20. It is not obvious to me how to process a customer pre-payment. Under the Business menu item, selecting Customer->Process Payment, I select the customer. No Documents (invoices) are displayed since the account is current. I enter a payment amount and select a Transfer Account. There is a warning icon in the lower left corner stating "You must select at least one document or pre-payment to process." and the O

18:21:33 <phlancelot> Hi all - trying to set up my first budget (over 12 months)... I like how I can estimate amounts based on past data but I want to adjust some of these... is there an easy way that I can copy the same amount of money for all 12 months in one go? eg. I pay 10$ per month for my bank fees... I'd like to have avoid having to type 10$ 12 times!! thanks

19:43:46 <David417> I have noticed as I reconcile accounts for April that GnuCash seems to be trying to change my monthly ritual to a date four days earlier than in previous months. Has anyone else noticed this?
19:47:51 <warlord> David417: gnucash makes a "best guess" based on your previous two reconciles. You should just correct it. It will not always choose correctly.
19:47:52 *** SteveG has quit IRC
19:49:42 <David417> right now I am reconciling a credit card account that normally closes on the 16th but fir April it wants to choose the 12th. I have not seen it choose a different date than usual on any other month before April 2914
19:50:06 <David417> well, 2014
19:51:03 <David417> that also happened in several other accounts
19:51:25 <warlord> Could be the 31/28/31 days of Jan/Feb/Mar
19:51:30 <warlord> ... throwing it out of whack

19:55:49 <David417> I do not recall seeing similar behavior last year. That is why I am asking. I know it is not critical, as many accounts close their statements on different dates anyway and it is trivial to set during the reconcile
19:57:33 <David417> if there is a gap in the calendar that GnuCash is using, it might appear in other places too.
19:58:05 <warlord> There shouldn't be a gap..
20:00:51 <David417> I wouldn't expect so, but there does appear to be some sort of unexpected pattern. Just asking.
20:13:24 <warlord> I dont know what other answer you want to hear.
20:33:06 <David417> I am wondering if there is a bug worth reporting. Probably not, at least not now.
20:36:24 <warlord> I dont think so.
20:36:29 <warlord> Like I said, it's just a "best guess"
20:36:42 <David417> Thanks
