06:15:13 <chwnut> hi, is there really no way to use a configured invoice as the default invoice? :/
06:15:25 <chwnut> or am i missing something?

06:33:44 <gjanssens> chwnut: you can't use a preconfigured invoice as default invoice directly
06:34:04 <gjanssens> what you could do is to open the invoice report and keep it open
06:34:28 <gjanssens> whenever you want to print an invoice, you can then change the report to display in the open report
06:34:46 <gjanssens> That's the closest I know you can come to your request

11:47:51 <chrisa> I have installed gnucash and wondered if you had thought of adding a dropdown menu on the NUM field when entering transactions? This would enable you to enter Deposit, DirDeb etc without typing in every time.
11:49:04 <warlord> chrisa: the "num" column is generally meant to be "Check Number" and is geard to that.
11:49:35 <warlord> Deposit, DirDeb, etc are more geared toward "Actions" -- which you can see in Double-Line mode and Split-Expanded Mode.
12:05:43 <chrisa> I have found out that check numbers are easy to put in there but I don't understand what you mean by double line and split expanded modes. When I imported my quicken files Deposit, DirDeb, etc appeared in the NUM column.
12:06:16 <warlord> View -> Double Line Mode
12:06:42 <warlord> and either click the "Split" toolbar button or use sometihng like Auto-Split or Journal view mode
12:11:56 <chrisa> I can see the list now, thanks. Can you add to it to distinguish between DirDeb and standing orders?
12:12:34 <warlord> I dont recall if the list is hard coded or dynamic
12:14:01 <chrisa> I can't add or change anything.

12:17:47 <chrisa> This has been very useful but it has taken me about 4 hours to get here, all the other sites on your website didn't work for one reason or another. Have you thought about giving a simpler explanation of how to access this discussion area?

13:22:45 <fell> chrisa: Sorry, but warlord created too much load on the server. ;-)
13:24:20 <fell> IIRC the list in the action field is hardcoded, but you can simply overwrite the entry in that field.
13:24:47 <fell> The list is only a suggestion.
13:25:22 <warlord> fell: actually, the server load finished at around 3am today.. So any load on the server today is *not* my doing.
13:25:38 <warlord> chrisa: great! Or better yet, update the wiki! :)

13:26:31 <fell> warlord: are the windows builds still pending?
13:26:52 <warlord> fell: haven't looked.

19:42:14 <mlq> Hi! I've created four pull requests and I wanted to know if this is enough or if I need to create an additional ticket in the bug tracker since issues are handled via Bugzilla seperately

21:39:03 <warlord> mlq: BZ entries are, IMHO, better.. but pull requests are better than patches to -devel. I'll just note that in terms of your patch for realloc().... If realloc() fails we have bigger issues than just not handling the return value correctly.

22:35:42 <pjt56> As a registered non-profit, state law requires us to grant member access to our financial records. Wondering how other GnuCash users in similar situation might accommodate such requests...
22:39:33 <warlord> pjt56: most likely by publishing regular P&L, BS, and Txn Reports
22:39:48 <warlord> feel free to ask on the gnucash-user mailing list for more details from other similar users.
