08:16:25 <warlord> StuM: The existing P&L and BS reports won't show you both "last year" and "this year" simultaneously. You just need to run the reports twice, once with last year's date(s) and once with this year(s) dates.

08:22:04 <StuM> The problem I had with close books was I had inadvertently started a new line in the two test transactions I had entered, and these had today's date, so 'close books' would not transfer them as at the closing date, even though they had no values or accounts entered.

(when I do e.g. a transaction report and choose to show "Running balance", for each item it appears to show the balance for that item's subaccount only)
