08:25:40 <warlord> bz_sleep: by default, yes, QIF is for one account. But you can add some !-rules to define accounts and then specify which account a transaction is for.
08:26:36 <warlord> gour: it may depend on the locale.. but probably a bug in the hierarchy

08:43:17 <bz> warlord: I tried that....
08:43:30 <bz> warlord: maybe I didn't specify which account the transcation is for correctly?
08:43:54 <bz> warlord: which field is that supposed to go in?
08:43:57 <warlord> Possibly. I've never built a multi-account qif by hand. So I dont really know the structure offhand.
08:44:10 <bz> ok
08:44:24 * bz has been trying to find an example of a multi-account QIF online, but failing
08:45:14 <warlord> I dont know if there are any examples in the gnucash code base.
08:45:23 * bz will look
08:45:48 <warlord> there are files in doc/examples
08:45:52 <bz> thanks!
08:46:02 <warlord> But I dont know if any of them are multi-account

08:48:15 <bz> hah
08:48:16 <bz> ok

16:55:17 <PlayIt> Does anyone use PayPal csv files?
16:55:53 <PlayIt> I can not get whats on the website to balance with CALC or GNUCash
16:56:00 <warlord> PlayIt: there was someone on the list who wrote a script to convert paypal csv to IIRC QIF for loading into GnUCash
16:56:30 <warlord> Well, if you cannot get it to balance via multiple methods, then perhaps you're missing some data?
16:56:32 <PlayIt> Are the CSVs from paypal broken? because the numbers don't balance out for some reason
16:56:52 <warlord> I dont know. You'd have to ask the guy who played with it.
16:57:12 <warlord> Check the archives of gnucash-user, and if you dont find it there in Jan/Feb try -devel
16:57:21 <PlayIt> ok thanks

17:17:18 <robinraymn> 2.4.10 svn r60335f

17:25:50 <warlord> That's not even from us -- that's from dbus!
17:26:02 <warlord> also, I don't recognize your svn revision #
17:26:29 <robinraymn> I do have an ampersand in the name of the account and that register was open when I closed last time
17:27:16 <Simon> is there any way to handle shares in multiple currencies or do I just have to live with the values lacking a visible currency?

17:40:20 <jbraeuer> Hi everyone! I have trouble using Gnucash with a Reiner Sct card reader on Ubuntu 11.10 (amd64). I figured out there was some change regarding CTAPI vs PCSC, but I am somewhat lost. Anybody in here that could give me some pointers?
17:42:07 <jbraeuer> The problem I currently face is, that the card-reader is detected, but gnucash shows "Bitte legen SIe die Chipkarte für XXXX in den Kartenleser". But the card IS already inserted.
17:44:08 <warlord> jbraeuer: I'm afraid you are going to have to ask on the AqBanking channel, or subscribe to and ask on the gnucash-de mailing list. Nobody here can use HBCI so none of us any experience with it.
17:45:09 <jbraeuer> Thanks warlord, so I'll check out the aqbanking channel.
17:45:23 <warlord> I believe it is #aqbanking over on freenode.
