11:27:21 <leaper> Hi all.
11:28:07 <leaper> I am new to Gnucash and there is some thing I would like to know.
11:28:47 <leaper> my bank allow me to create ofx files that i can import into GC
11:30:12 <leaper> but when there is a transfere betwenn accounts in that bank, GC imports 2 transactions instead of one linking those 2 together.
11:31:20 <leaper> is there a way to "bind" two transaction together or should I just delete one of those imported transaction and edit the other one properly.
11:33:11 <leaper> And isn t there a way for gnucash to detect a transfere like this one (inside the same ofx file) and import only one transaction from the start?
11:36:17 *** DevLocus has quit IRC
11:43:36 <warlord> Unfortunately you need to mark those as duplicates manually. The OFX FITID of the transaction from account 1 isn't the same as the FITID of the transaction from account 2
11:48:58 <leaper> yes the FITID ARE the same .. this is why i dont unterstand why GN does deal with it automaticaly
11:52:55 *** bentob0x has quit IRC
12:02:49 <warlord> Oh, because I think it puts the FITID in the Split... So it doesn't notice that it's the same transaction.
12:08:39 <leaper> So I have to do it manualy then?
12:24:24 <warlord> I'm afraid so, at this point.
12:24:27 <warlord> Patches are always welcome.

13:22:09 <mreid> Hi, I'm doing a research paper for Northeastern Univeristy in my Senior Capstone class on open source software with a focus on usability, if anyone familiar with gnucash's development processes would be kind enough to take my 15 question survey, I would really appreciate it - http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/496558/Usability-and-Open-Source

22:39:40 <enbloc> I'm trying to restore a machine from postgres backups after a reinstall. Before I got postgres set up correctly, it would try to open postgres://gnucash@localhost/gnucash and fail
22:39:55 <enbloc> now the only option I have for "dataformat" is file - it doesn't even allow postgres
22:40:20 <enbloc> where are the startup accounts stored, and how can I reset it now that my db should be correct?
